The Adult Islamic School was set up with the objective of empowering our adults with an understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah. The majority of our courses run in 12-week terms providing a structured syllabus and delivered by qualified and experienced teachers in their respective fields. Their educations have come from renowned institutions in the UK and across the Middle East including the likes of the Madinah Islamic University (Madinah, KSA), Dar ul Hadith (Makkah, KSA) and Al-Azhar University (Cairo, Egypt).
Our terms run three times a year specializing in the Arabic Language, Qur’an and Tajweed. Our classes sizes consist of no more than 18 students per class with the teacher experienced in giving individual attention to each student. The school is run throughout the evenings to cater to professionals and locals after work. Our structured classes give the opportunity for individuals to progress themselves through levels of selected Islamic subjects. We strongly believe that our teaching format gives a unique blend in understanding keywords, advancing conversational skills and progressing both written and spoken aspects of Islamic literature. All courses are taught in the English medium for both men and women. Our teachers are selected for the vast knowledge in their subject fields and their teaching experience. We follow a strict Adult protection policy for our entire centre with all tutors fully checked for no history of criminal conduct. Our school is open to all adults over the age of 16 welcoming all students to knowledge.

Arabic for Beginners (Learning to read the Qur’an)
This course is aimed at those who wish to learn the Arabic Language from the basics or choose to take the path of learning how to recite the Qur’an correctly and thereafter memorising it. Students will learn the rules of Tajweed and the correct pronunciation of the Arabic alphabet (Makhraj). By the end of the course, students will be able to recognize letters and vowels and should be able to read the Qur’an. Our experienced teachers will provide attention to every student so that they progress positively.

Arabic Language Level 1 (Part A)
This course is aimed at beginners to the Arabic language. It is important that the students entering the course can read the Qu’ran and/or Arabic fluently. Students will develop their reading writing and speaking skills by learning a range of vocabulary and conversing with each other. The course is centered around Madinah Book 1 and chapters from the acclaimed Al-Arabiyyah Bayna Yaddaik. Our experienced teachers will provide attention to every student so that they progress positively.

Spoken Arabic – Al Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik (Part 1)
This course is aimed at students who wish to learn how to communicate in basic Arabic. Being able to converse and speak in Arabic is the goal of students studying the language. The course will complete the first 8 chapters of Al-Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk, a book that is popularly used in the Arab world to teach to non-native speakers. The course will allow a student to introduce themselves, their family and other topics in everyday life.
