What counts as a complaint
A complaint is any expression of dissatisfaction about the Centre for Islamic Guidance, our services, our people, our volunteers or our fundraising. We welcome feedback of any kind, and we take complaints seriously.
How to complain
Please tell us as soon as you can, in whatever way suits you: by email to cislamicguidance@gmail.com, by phone on 020 7791 5151, in person at the Centre, or in writing to Islamic Guidance Centre, 255-259 Commercial Road, 3rd Floor, London E1 2BT. Please include your name and contact details, what happened, when, and what you would like us to do.
What happens next
- Acknowledgement. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days.
- Investigation. Someone who was not directly involved will look into it and may contact you for more information.
- Reply. We aim to send you a full written reply within 28 days. If it will take longer, we will tell you why and when to expect an answer.
- Review. If you are not happy with the reply, you can ask for it to be reviewed by the trustees. Their decision is final within the Centre.
If you are still not satisfied
If your complaint is about fundraising, you can contact the Fundraising Regulator at fundraisingregulator.org.uk. If it is about how we handle personal information, you can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk. The Charity Commission does not resolve individual complaints but wants to hear about serious concerns about a charity: see gov.uk/complain-about-charity.
Confidentiality
We treat complaints in confidence and share them only with the people who need to know in order to deal with them.
