How cancellations and refunds work for Nikkah services, venue hire and courses run by the Centre for Islamic Guidance.
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Nikkah services
Please let us know as early as possible if you need to change the date or cancel. Where we have confirmed a booking, any deposit or fee, and whether it is refundable, will be set out when we confirm your booking. If we have to cancel or cannot provide the service, we will refund what you have paid for it or agree a new date with you.
Venue hire
Venue bookings are confirmed in writing, with the hire charge, any deposit and the cancellation terms stated at the time. Please give us as much notice as you can if your plans change. If we cancel a booking, we will refund what you have paid. Damage to the premises or breaches of the hire conditions may affect the return of a deposit.
Courses and programmes
Courses and programmes run by our partner Q-Iman (qiman.org) are subject to Q-Iman’s own enrolment, fee and refund terms, which you will see when you enrol with them. For any course run directly by the Centre, the fee, refund and withdrawal terms will be stated when you enrol.
Donations
Donations are generally not refundable. See Donations and Gift Aid.
How refunds are paid
Where a refund is due, we will pay it using the same method you paid with where possible, normally within 14 days of agreeing it.
Your legal rights
This policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. If you are unhappy with how we have handled a booking or refund, please see our Complaints Procedure.
