What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your phone, tablet or computer when you visit. They help a site work properly, stay secure and remember your choices. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do the same job and are covered by this policy too.

How we use cookies

We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you or to sell your data. The cookies below are the ones that may be set when you use this website.

TypeWhat it is forWho sets it
Strictly necessaryKeeping the website secure, protecting it from malicious traffic and letting our team sign in to manage the site. These are needed for the site to work and do not collect information for marketing. This website (WordPress and our security software)
Embedded contentOur Contact Us page shows a Google Map of the Centre. When this loads, Google may set its own cookies and receive information such as your IP address.Google (only if you accept)
Payment and donationsIf you choose to donate online, you may be passed to a payment provider to complete your gift. That provider sets its own cookies under its own policy. The payment provider you choose

We do not control cookies set by third parties. Please see the privacy and cookie policies of those providers for details.

Your choice

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always used because the site needs them. If you decline, we do not load embedded content that sets third-party cookies, such as the Google Map on the Contact Us page, and you will see a placeholder instead. You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.

Managing and deleting cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or clear cookies when you close the browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the website from working. Your browser’s help pages explain how to do this, and you can also find general guidance at aboutcookies.org.

If you would rather not load the embedded map, you can use the “Get directions” button on the Contact Us page, which opens Google Maps in a separate tab, or use our address: 255-259 Commercial Road, 3rd Floor, London E1 2BT.

Your personal information

For how we handle personal information you give us through our forms, see our Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new features or services to the website. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
